RSS: filter out using D option?
« on: April 14, 2012, 01:36:55 pm »
Hi

Sometimes, foreign version of US shows are included in the RSS feed, I know I can use the D option but is it powerful enough to detect a string like "ITA-ENG" (for an italian dubbed or subbed) within the name, in short can I use a filter like:
*ita-eng* | D
to bypass all shows with ITA-ENG in it?

I would like to avoid creating a D line for all shows I monitor ;)

Sure, just make sure it's at the end of the filter list.

OK thanks (Altbinz IS powerful)  8)

Out of curiosity, why at the end? Isnt there a risk an "A" filter will pick it up before the "D" filter prevents it? (a bit like firewall rules if you happen to be familiar :) )
Shouldnt you put the D filter - before ?
e.g. show*720p* | A would pick "show.ita-eng" before *ita-eng* | D prevents it?

Or Altbinz is even smarter: gathering all filter that potentially match and do all the sorting by itself?

Last matching filter is important not the first.
