similar to feature in newsbin... sometimes i have no file, even though it shows 100% and seemingly extracted... would be nice to double check the recycle bin and do a manual extraction if need be.

No unrared files shoulld be deleted by Alt.Binz.  Check your Log about anything that's missing and showing 100% in the queue - most likely you'll see 'Article not fouind' messages, meaning that your server doesn't have it.  Your Log will also tell you what was unrared and where to.

What about about processed rars... I'd like to be able to recover deleted rars from the recycle bin. This rare anomaly has happened twice where I'm sure a complete set was downloaded, but I have no files (other than .nfo) in download dir which required downloading again. I'd just like if alt binz gave the option (like newsbin) to use the recycle bin for delete.

In my experience, what you're describing NEVER happens.  Most likely the rars weren't downloaded in the first place - check your Log as I suggested.

On the other hand, a Move to Recycle Bin option might be handy for all sorts of reasons. ;)

BUT feature requests can only be made in the Requests forum by Contributors.  Click the Donate button and read the instructions.

well... what can I say. It did... and maybe twice though the 1st time I paid less attention. This time it was irritating. it wasn't an old article... maybe less than 24 hours. I sure as shit saw the rars being downloading as I was anticipating the completion, and lo and behold when I came back later on, it was finished: 100%, though nothing was left in my download folder but the .nfo (usually just the extracted file and .nfo as I exclude .sfv, sample, etc.).

Anyway, I'm not making a feature request, I just assumed the feature was already there, but I was missing it somehow. If i experience the problem in the future and it becomes bothersome, I'll switch clients... I've used xnews, grabit, newsleecher, and newsbin in the past so nothing new there.

Thanks for your prompt response!

if the par tab is empty and in the downloadfolder is nothing but the info they were most likely unrared.could it be that u have entered and forgoten about a speperate unrar dir where the file was unrared to? what does the log say? activate detailed logging if you haven't

check unrar settings...

To repeat: ignore the queue tab, check your LOG which will tell you exactly what was/n't downloaded and unrared and where.
