Ive been having this trouble for the past week with very slow download speeds. Im using windows vista with cox cable as my internet server provider. Before this started happening i was downloading at high speeds. Now when i start a download it start at about 20kbps and slowly go up to maybe 60 or 70 kbps. And every once in awhile i will shoot all the way up over 400 or 500 kbps. i really seem to just be all over the place. I even drop all the way down to 0kbps. And when im trying to download something just trying to surf the web comes to a death crawl. Ive reinstalled altbinz. Scanned for viruses. Checked for any new programs added that could affect this. Is there anybody here that has experienced this and what can i do to correct it? Thanks for your time!

It's 99% certain that this is a problem with your provider rather than Alt.Binz. Check that you aren't being throttled/traffic-shaped by Cox. Compare download speeds with another newsreader to be certain Alt.Binz isn't the issue.

Not really sure how it can be my provider when I get 10 megs a sec on FIOS. At best I am getting 1.3 megs a sec with 6 connections. On top of that the one computer seems to continue downloading at the same rate while the other slows down dramatically.

This is what I get for waking up and then posting. Posted in the wrong thread. :P
