Title: Slow internet surfing while downloading with Grabit.

Hello all.When i am downloading with Grabit,internet becomes very slow.It takes a while for a page to load.
Or when i want to watch a Youtube video,the video takes very long to load,plays a few seconds and starts loading again.
As soon as i close Grabit,everything becomes normal again.
Does anyone have maybe a solution for this?
Or is it just normal when downloading from usenet?

Yes, it's normal.  You can limit how fast a.b downloads at.  It's in the lower left hand corner of the application.  If you don't know how fast your internet connection is, shut down alt binz, goto www.speedtest.net and run a test.  You will then know how much bandwidth you have available and can limit the speed accordingly in alt.binz.

Thanks for your reply.And lol sorry.With Grabit i offcourse meant Alt Binz.
But isn't the internet speed decrease not caused by uploading instead of downloading?
I can understand it happens in bittorrent when i am also uploading,but in news readers it doesn't seem normal.

You only have so much download bandwidth available at any given time.  If you're maxing your connection out on usenet there won't be much bandwidth available.  You have to remember when you goto ANY webpage (youtube) you are still downloading content to your computer.

sorry for the double bump --  but --  somehow I missed that you were using grabit. Since I've never used it before I can not walk you through the steps to throttle the speed.  Figure out how to throttle grabit's speed and you'll be flying again.

As he said, he's using Alt.Binz not Grabit. Anyway, I think the question has been answered as much as it's going to be here, so let's move along now.
