Title: SSL Connections problems
Post by: pinkeyes on September 02, 2008, 02:03:42 pm
I cannot connect to my providers SSL Server using Alt.Binz, but it is fine with none SSL connection.

My provider is Usenetserver, who's support team claim that it is a known problem using Alt.Binz and that they have informed the writer of this issue.

I tried newsbin pro trial, and SSL connection works fine. This indicates that my ISP don't block any ports and my Router is letting the necessary ports through.

I have checked my windows firewall, and Alt.Binz is permitted through.

Is there anything else I can try, or is it indeed a known issue ? and can anyone explain how it can be a problem ?

Works just fine with latest contributor only version of Alt.Binz (secure.usenetserver.com)
