Hello all,
After two days of reading set up manuals, the wiki and searching this forum, I need to ask for some help. As the title of this post says every time I start altbinz.exe it changes the screen resolution from the default setting. This all stems from a small popup window that appeared during a period of heavy computer use, multiple browser windows and tabs; running Opera and Firefox. The only other applications running at the time were a search function and altbinz. Anyway I read the popup which asked if I wanted to run altbinz at x resolution I thought I clicked cancel but apparently not. I have done everything I can think of in setup for altbinz to no avail. Now I can manually change the resolution each time through control panel, or just exit altbinz, but this is not what I want. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Thanks in advance.

What OS? If XP, try rightclicking the shortcut/exe, choose properties, compatibility and check that the display settings have been unchecked?
BTW don't think it has anything to so with altbinz settingwise..

Thank you that is exactly what was wrong. I don’t recall right clicking on the icon but I obviously did. A bunch of hours spent rereading altbinz material was not a complete waste of time though. I did learn a new thing or two, again thank you for your time and the helpful information.
