Author Topic: Strange Alt.Binz thing, don't know if it's a bug or conflict or something?  (Read 2123 times)

Occasionally when Alt.Binz has been running a while, it kind of locks up, and I cannot select tabs or select collections/files that Alt.Binz has in the queue, I can use the expand all/collapse all buttons though, and the other buttons seem to work fine.

The program still carries on downloading fine, but it makes adding new .nzb files and browsing the queue diffucult, plus like I said the tabs don't work so I can't look at the par tab or log tab etc.

Is this perhaps a known/new bug, or a known/possible conflict with some other software?

Specs:

Free Version of Alt.Binz (don't know number  ;D)
Windows XP SP3
Comodo Firewall Pro 3
Comodo Memory Firewall
Comodo BoClean
AVG 7.5 AntiVirus

Can't think of any other software that I have that may be of concern.

how long is your queue and your par2 tab list?

Wouldn't think that it's exceptionally long.

What's of more concern, overall size of the queue file, or number of files or articles that are queued up, does it help if they are grouped more, 'cos mine usaully are?

I might have say 5-10GB of stuff queued, but the number of articles varies, sometimes there's whole 1Gb files, mostly they are split up obviously, my queue file maybe is a max of 6Mb at times.

It's difficult to know how many files are queued up, there's usually far to many to count.

par2 list never very long either.
