Multiple RSS Feeds
« on: December 08, 2007, 03:58:13 am »
I used newzbin's rss feeds along with my ID's as said in the wiki manual and I have around 10 shows feeds in my favorites now and set my timer and im waiting.

Will it check all the feeds in favorites, or just the one I have currently?

The reason I have so many rss feeds (one per show) Is because I want to take advantage of the way newzbin does searches like, I want certain sizes, languages, sub prefs, etc...

The only downside is that I will see the same episode posted a couple of times, so I guess ill work on customizing newzbin's search a little more.

Or should I just use one rss feed say "http://www.tvnzb.com/tvnzb_new.rss"

and forget about it?

You'll find it easier to apply filters to the TvNZB feed, since the info about the release is (or should be) included in the post title, so I'd recommend you go that way.  Try it for a few days and see if it suits you, if not there are plenty of others to choose from.

I've given in and finally decided to sign up and post how to do this.

Go to : http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/

1. Signup
2. Try searching for TVNZB for an example and clone it
OR
2. Create a pipe with as many RSS feeds as you want in it and then save
3. Choose "More Options" and select "Get as RSS"
4. Paste URL into Alt.binz

There you have it, you now have a custom RSS feed with all your other feeds in it.

if you don't know yahoo that well, just like i did, make sure to connect the lillte round item thingy on the bottom of "fetch feed" to the simular round item thingy on "pipe output". a blue line will apear and only then you will get any output.... then save and follow points 3 and 4 of needle2000's post
