Vanishing Pars?
« on: July 19, 2008, 03:24:55 pm »
If I import an NZB and then download it is missing all the NZB's except one that is approx 15k in size (the original download would have 10 - 15 pars)

It's really annoying downloading a 4.5 gig file and then finding its corrupt and i ca't fix it because the pars are missing!

Whats happening? I've de-selected all the par options.

thanks

Er, ok ... let's break it down a bit.

First off, check that the NZB you import actually has the pars listed (expand it in the queue).  Where are you importing from, by the way?  If a search engine, note that indexing sites often list the pars separately, so you need to make sure you select all items connected with the posts to get the full monty.

Secondly, why deselect all the PAR2 options?  If you follow the Quick Start Guide, Alt.Binz will handle autounpausing, repairing and cleaning up automatically for you.  The situations in which this would not work OOB for most users are very limited.

Thirdly, read your Log ... it should tell you exactly what Alt.Binz is downloading and what it's doing with the files.
