HELP! Files not downloading. Or are. not sure
« on: April 08, 2008, 02:57:01 am »
First problem, now for some reason when I download something it shows 0kbps, but amount left to download gets smaller.  Gets to 100%, then turns out there is nothing in my download folder.  This happens most if not all the time now.

Also what's the easiest way to request information from usenet users?  Been using alt.binz for a while now, like it a lot, but this odd downloading bug seems to get me a lot.

decent 45-90 day servers are $10-15 USD.

there's block accounts too, if you're on a monthly limit.

Mine is supposed to be 75ish, was 28 for 3 months unlimited.  Megabitz.  Makes me wonder if it isn't maybe something else.

The overall retention advertised by news providers does not correspond with retention for individual groups.  High volume groups may in reality have much lower retention - your provider's website should specifiy which.

You can also try toggling the 'Select group' and/or 'ARTICLE cmd' options in Setup > Servers in case that's the issue.
