TVnzb filter help

Hi,

I've set up my filters in the TVnzb tab and they are working successfully.

However I have one query: is there a way to limit the amount of times that a particular filter is applied in a longer time frame than the 120mins?

For example if I have a filter for Desperate Housewives, is it possible to have that only d/l once in 7 days? Or am I doing something wrong with the NEW/OLD/All function?

And just one other question: I noticed in a couple of the examples given that some filters had an * before the filter as well as after the filter?  What difference will this make?

New/Old/All option is just pointer to what list should be refreshed and monitored. Ussualy you should always use New one. For now there is nothing to prevent downloading more then once if the filter matches new nzb.

*desperate*housewives*  will match any name that has word desperate and word housewives in it.
desperate*housewives* will match any name that STARTS with desperate and has housewives word in it.
desperate.housewives* will match any name that STARTS with 'desperate.housewives'
Desperate.Housewives will match only 'desperate.housewives' name. ONLY that, nothing more, nothing less.

Filters are not case sensitive so it doesn't matter if you write *desperate* or *Desperate*.

Here is an example that will download hdtv version of DHs but will reject all other larger versions:

*desperate*housewives* | A
*hr.hdtv* | D
*720* | D

Thank you so much for the response.  That has explained it perfectly!  I'll be able to readjust a few of my filters accordingly.

Also thanks for the tips on what to deny - this will help weed out some of the doubled-up stuff for a start.
