UNRAR
« on: November 12, 2011, 04:27:39 am »
Hi all.  Recently upgraded to .39.3 and since then my auto .rar function has not worked.  I've tried turning it on and off, rebooting, and really nothing has changed.   Any ideas?

Im having the same issue as the OP, everything downloads fine and checks .par2 (i can manually unrar the files).

I usually keep 'Shutdown' pressed but when i come to turn my PC back on nothing has been unrar'd

Using 0.39.3.

Download something and then take a screenshot of par2 tab showing expanded par2 set.
PM me link to screenshot.

i was going to upgrade when I read this so think I stick with 39.2 a bit longer

what i wanted to know as I dont see any new settings is there a way
to get it to unpause par2 files which I set paused by default when importing (as
most times you dont need to wast bandwidth downloading them) so if
the par/unrar detects incomplete sets it should download all the par2 files for me

im finding it says 100 percent
but it hasnt unrar-ed cos some rar files have some damage

would be good if it had a option to unpause the repair files and retry

Enable PAR2 checking and repairing in setup and par2 files should be automatically unpaused by Alt.Binz as needed to complete a repair, assuming that there are enough in your queue. If not, post a bug report that can be reproduced.

in par2 table..

the checking is ticked and repair is ticked and delete after successful unrar
and autounrar set'

still made no difference.. the par files paused never manually unpaused

while i let it download over night

however I did unpause each file and some were damaged in some
of the files.. if thats what you mean

however it didnt download them them so how would it know they
not complete also like the other files until it downloads
and checks them as well..

dont matter.. I guess no biggy

Are you certain that the small par2 file is *not* paused in the queue (check Setup > NZB #2), and that you can see some entries on the PAR2 tab? Alt.Binz needs at least one par2 file in the download folder for autounpausing to work.
