Very slow decoding
« on: May 12, 2013, 11:14:35 am »
Hi, downloading is very fast but Decoding is very very slow. I have tried to change the settings in Miscellaneous #2 (Priority) but this still does not work.

1. Define slow
2. Provide PC info
3. Provide anti-virus/firewall info

That's insane time. Should be couple of seconds at most. Most common problem is AV software. Have you tried making exception for altbinz/disableing it/uninstalling it?

Don't have a clue. I don't use Microsoft Forefront Enpoint Protection

Made changes to the firewall: windows firewall,
Uninstall Alt.Binz
Changed allow Alt.Binz as program

All 3 did not work and Decoding is still very slow

I don't see how decoding process would have anything to do with firewall.
Anti-Virus software is the one that scans temp/downloaded files.

EDIT: Btw, try seting article caching in altbinz. It could help.
Setup->Download#2->Max memory cache size to 200MB
Setup->Download#2->Remove articles... to 10min
