Alt.Binz adding "[1]" to the end of files
« on: June 02, 2008, 02:42:50 am »
New to this whole game and just wondering if anyone experiences this when downloading a new file?
Im creating a new folder for every download to be named according to the NZB/root code name, but they always end up as:
"Newfolder[1]"
How can I remove that [1] from the end of the folder name? Or is it just a bug.. using 0.25.0 on Vista x64. Thanks in advance!

Does your NZB have .1 appended?

I guess you're 'Opening' nzb directly from some site?

That is correct. From inside alt.binz it does not happen, but from www.binsearch.info for example it happens. I have one system, with XP that does not have the  [1] from an external site. But two other machines, one XP and one Vista have the same problem as the topic starter.

The obvious solution is to save the files rather than open them, then.  Although why you wouldn't just use the Binsearch tab in Alt.Binz itself is a puzzle.

It has nothing to do with Alt.Binz Try saving instead of opening and you'll notice it will be saved with [1]

I'm almost sure that this is caused by Internet Explorer. At home I have this 'problem' too with IE, but if i download the NZB with Firefox there is no [1] behind the NZB name.
Tested on XP
