Windows 7 - icon and notifications in system tray
« on: November 02, 2009, 12:23:59 pm »
I have just installed Windows 7 x64. The problem is with the system tray small icons. I want to see the Alt.Binz icon all the time and Windows 7 hides it.

If I choose customize and choose “show icon and notifications” it works for the moment but each time you exit and start the Alt.Binz, Windows recognizes it as a new program.

The result is that I have 3-4 Alt.Binz under those icons and it never remembers my last choice. Have you seen this in Win7?

For the very same reason, i don't check the notification area any more.

Using 7 superbar and waiting for Rdl to finish his next update as we requested in that topic : Windows 7 Taskbar Extensions

I think the reason altbinz won't stay in the notification area is because of the dynamically updating speed/eta. So every time you add it to be permanently shown and the speed changes Win7 thinks it's a different program.

I agree that Taskbar Extensions is the way to go though, although a fix for this would be nice.

Mods maybe move to bugs/requests?
