What does XPat actually do? IIRC it differs from the web-based clients in that it searches for files on your own news servers?

After reading previous forum discussion on this I have clicked the Newsgroups tab, got the group list and put an X beside my favourite groups. Now when I enter a search term in XPat nothing happens, and nothing happens in the log window either. What am I doing wrong?

You need to select group to search in xpat tab
