Ability to both include and exclude key words
« on: November 25, 2010, 08:50:40 am »
On the search tabs and RSS tab you give us one text box to either narrow down the search results by allowing us to either include or exclude key words. Right now you have the option to either include or exclude. You cant do both at the same time (AFAIK).

Is it possible to allow us to both include key words and exclude other keywords? Right now include and exclude preference is denoted by the plus or minus sign to the left of the text box. What about removing that +/- button and making the keywords by default mean include? Then if you want to exclude certain keywords you simply put a minus sign (-) in front of that keyword.

For example, to narrow down an RSS feed to only display non HD Lost episodes you would write:

Lost -720p

I believe Google and NZBIndex both have this functionality.

At the minute, I try and achieve this by searching with one of the keywords (then using -WHATEVER) but this can restrict the results brought back depending on spelling, syntax, etc

I agree on this. This will be implemented. Not sure when :)
