First off I love Alt.Binz great job!
The only thing I could possibly ask for is a lot of times depending on where I do my NZB searches/downloading the NZB I import is something like "11188435734.nzb" and I have a large number of folders named 897345987 and 1231874 etc etc. Would it be at all possible to rename the folder to the archive name or article name if the nzb imported is named using only numeric characters??? I would donate again in a heart beat if you actually implemented this..thanks again!

+1
newzleech can cause these nzbs (think its when browsing if i remember right)

I believe that is already available. At least it has been around for some time. Under Settings, Downloads, there is a check box that you can turn off the *.nbz file name. When you do that, it will make a folder based on the Archive name instead of the .nbz file name.
That feature has been around for a long time. So I am sure Rdl will gladly accept your generous donation, just click the "Donate" button on your version :)

Yea it's fairly common on some NZB search engines. I looked for the option but couldn't find it unless you can point out specifiacally which option it is that I have to tick or untick because I tried looking for it and didn't see anything that would hint at that feature.

1. Within Alt.binz select "Setup" at the top of the progy.
2. On the top setting, select "Download", it is the first selection and should be selected when you select setup. Not the Download 2!
3. The First Selection is "Create subfolders based on NZB/root node name" and is usually Checked as the Default.
4. Just uncheck that one and it should then create folders based on the Archive name, instead of the NZB name.
I know that this is available with the Freeware version as I just installed it and it was available.
Hope that helps...

Thanks for helping me out but when I do that it doesn't create a folder period it just places all the files in the root of my download folder =/

Sorry about that. I used the wrong setting.
Run down to Setup, UnRar, and Uncheck the first line of the clickers that says: "Create Subfolder based on NZB name".
Not for sure if that is available on Version 25.0 or not, but is available on the latest version. It too has been around a while as I have been using it for that purpose.
Let me know if you find that one.

I already donated so I'm running 0.26.7 lol but I'll check that option out thanks man you've been really helpful!

I check it out but that's already unchecked and it seems to be only for the subfolder. Let me clarify, I want it to be able to rename the actual folder created by the NZB..
i.e. lets say all my downloads goto F:\DL\
lets say I download 3 different NZBs..."Example_1.NZB", "8923749834.NZB", "0Day.07.01.98.NZB"
I would end up with these folders in 'F:\DL'
"Example 1", "8923749834", "0Day.07.01.98"
Instead of having the folder called "8923749834", I would like for it to scan the archive name or article name and use that for the folder name so instead of it being "8923749834" it would be "RLS EXAMPLE"

It won't work for download folders, but it will for the destination folder of the unrared files, via Setup > Unrar > 'Create subfiolder based on archive name'.

I'll see what I can do about that.

Ok, great, you have the best person to do what you want. And if he says "I'll see" you can usually get the request in the next build.
Glad I could help, but as I said, you now have the best person to work on it. :)

Thanks for the info Freeop and Hecks..and thanks for checking out my suggestion Rdl!

I think it'd be nice to pop up the dialog to select name/destination/unrar as the NZB is manually imported (but before it's added to the list).. similar to uTorrent's import dialog.
-
noooo, please dont do that.
a popup on each import would be so annoying

a popup on each import would be so annoying
1. only if you enabled the option
2. only on manual imports (auto-import from folder would not be affected)
