Bring back RSS feed drop down list
« on: May 02, 2011, 11:55:42 pm »
On the RSS tab, I miss having the drop down list for selecting the RSS feed to load.

I know now we have the RSS window to enable multiple feeds. But when there is only one rss feed enabled, can we bring back that drop down list to quickly change to a different feed?

If not, then what about at least displaying the feed's name somewhere so we can quickly know which feed is active. Normally we get the feed name on the tab bar but thats only displayed when multiple feeds are enabled. When there is only one feed, I would still like to be able to quickly glance and see what feed I have set to be active.

Why not just make them all active so you can see them all on tabs? Active of course doesn't mean with individual timers all set - just that the tabs are visible. There's no real downside to this. Probably the default should be for a tab to show even if only 1 feed is active. Re-introducing the dropdown at this stage would just muddle things, IMHO.

Yeah, thats true I can just enable the other feeds and just not set the auto timer on them. Totally didnt even think about that.

But I do think if one feed is active, the name of the feed is visible somewhere. I like what you suggested, with displaying the tab bar even with only one tab. That way the feed's name gets displayed.

Waste of space displaying just one tab on tab panel
