Colors are a problem on a darker windows theme.

In fact, darker themes aren't generally well-accepted at all ;-) Specifically, here I have a lighter font on a darker background. The only problem is that it does not use the darker background for the background of the download pieces. (see pic at the end) The green background is the issue in question...

Can you please add an option to change this color or, if it is being done as the opposite of the color of "selected items" (in the appearances tab), can you add an option to simply choose the color outright?

Agree with you.
Those themes are made, but in fact they are unusable.
I like to use the Zune theme in Altbinz but because there are no contrasting colors on avtive tabs, one can hardly see which one is active.
