Zip Import and NZB Grouping
« on: March 21, 2009, 02:09:00 pm »
Hey rdl,

How possible would it be to import a Zip file of NZBs and them download into the zip file's name and then the name of the nzb (or as per settings).

Say I had a zip file called "collection.zip" and it had the following nzb's in it "item1.nzb", "item2.nzb", ..., "itemN.nzb" it downloads each NZB to <DownloadFolder>\collection\item1\..., <DownloadFolder>\collection\item2\..., ..., <DownloadFolder>\collection\itemN\...

Would be nice :)

Cheers

Karn

It doesn't create the top \collection\ folder though, which I think is what's being requested.

yup :) at the moment i pause altbinz, drop the zip file in, select all the new nzbs, adjust the download dir and unpause

just dropping the zip would be mucho better :)

I am not sure of the usefulness of this feature. However, I'm never one to flat out tell someone their idea is dumb. I believe this would make downloading bulk nzbs from nzbs . org much more difficult; because the zip file has no particular meaning, it is just a zip file tagged with your username.

With that being said, if people find this useful and it is included... it should be an option. Either that, or detect a specific structure to the zip. Such as, zipping a folder full of nzbs. Even then, I think it would be better left as an option.
