Title: enabling disabling servers

At present when a server box is ticked or unticked it does not take effect
right away the program has to be stopped and restarted, could it be
altered to take effect immediately there altered? thanks

No need to restart program. You just need to disconnect/connect. Or if you've added new server, you can add manualy needed number of connections while connected via right click on connection list.
