File Joining Manual Option Instead of Auto
« on: April 10, 2011, 02:59:10 am »
Like everyone else I appreciate the fact that Alt.Binz now supports File Joining but in my case I've run into some issues with this added feature which is automatic and unless I am missing something I am unable to utilize in a manual way.  The issue is that file joining seems to run alot slower than downloads.  So I can finish a whole queue of downloads and the file joining takes forever to complete because there seems to be an inherit pause between the joining of the next part in each file.  If instead of this function being automatic with it's inherit pause between each part it was manual option after all the parts had already been downloaded, similar to a right-click "Unrar Par2 Set", with no pause I think it would be a lot more of an apealing functionality for some.  Maybe this is not possible but I thought I would inquire.

CPU? Download speed? How long is the pause?

+1 for this mummy request

Same problem here (quad core 2,8ghz, 32mbit/s.). The join process is _much_ slower than a par-check-process. Consequence: A lot of unjoined downloads although donwloading is already complete.

It would be great if you can accelerate the joining process.
