Hi Guys,
At first I describe my 'problem': I'm always searching for new stuff by using the global search. My most used search term is: 'german'
Now i get the latest posts containing 'german' in all search engines, but some boards use 'crypted filenames' so they appear as 'german XYZboard...dffgasuzfgasuzfasfa.rar'
So it would be very nice if there would be a global search filter like a Blacklist so I can put all theese unwanted Boards in a list (like: XYZboard, porn, XXX) and they dont appear in the results.
Also with this feature the filter box is still available for filtering the pre-clearded results...
Another solution to my problem might also be to extend the filter functions. As far as I can see It is only possible to enter one word at a time into the filter field. It is not possible to use boolean search functions as: -XYZboard -porn +2012
Would be great! Continue the good work ;D
best regards

It depends on which search engine you use. Nzbindex certainly does accept excluded terms via -.
Hover over the search box to see the options in the tooltip. This doesn't address your filter questions, though.

yes I know that some search engines support boolean.
But I'm talking about the filter and not the search... and it would be available global, and not depending on the search engine.
I think this type of filtering might be usefull in some types of searching scenarios:
- movies from a specific year, in german but NOT XXX
- files of a specific language, from 2010 but NOT from BoardXYZ
etc...
but thanks for your answer...

blacklisting posters would also be nice .... some spammers use always the same / partly the same name
