I would like to request:

Either that F2 gets changed to mean "Rename Group Name" OR that we be allowed to redefine shortkut keys,

Because:

in explorer pressing F2 means rename folder, and since I've been using explorer for years and pressed that key millions and millions of times it has been hardcoded in my mind - so I constantly hit it when using altbiz when I want to rename and instead of course i suddenly change to another tab - eeek  :shock:

Anyway, I'd like to suggest that :)

Quote from another thread (nice to know you can change all the shortcuts).

cr4zyfr4g:

you can do that yourself.

go to altbinz/lang and edit your language file and change it:

Code:

DQ_Renamegroupnamemenuitem_SHORTCUT=Ctrl+R

to

Code:

DQ_Renamegroupnamemenuitem_SHORTCUT=F2

Just as a note: this ONLY works if you specify a language from the dropdown box on the setup screen.  If you never did, then the box is blank and it uses english by default, but the changes to the language file won't be picked-up and you'll scratch your head until you figure out you have to physically point to the language file...

I have that problem as I didn't set a language so English is default, the language file isn't being used.

I tried to set the config file

Language=english.abz
and
Language=(full path)english.abz

but both those don't work, every time i close the program it reverts the line back to

Language=

How do I "physically point to the language file"?

Thanks.

i think what he means is: you have to go into the albinz menue an set manualy english as the selected language... only after that you are handling the config file at least thats how i understood it

thanks this motivated me to look again, I didn't notice the droplist at the base of the options previously. F2 to rename works!
