Title: Pause when article is taken down DMCA for all servers
Post by: shak on December 10, 2012, 11:05:59 am
Hi !

I was wondering since there is an option for astraweb , to pause the download when is DMCAed , is there a way to make it work with other servers as well ?

Depends. What servers? Are they removing articles or just replacing them with small text?

This could be useful, i hit one the other day that had been DCMA'd yet the headers or whatever were still there causing Alt.Binz to try and download the files, it actually caused it to become sluggish to respond and disconnect, so i could remove the download, it would not respond to remove/delete until i had paused or disconnected it !

I was using VirginMedia servers, with Astraweb as the backup

Yeah I'd love a feature that if the file says 3.2GB but Altbinz just zips along downloading nothing.  The import would show a message - like pause but maybe a red pause?

Or

I'd like to leave sickbeard running, and Altbinz watching that folder......but know if there has been a "no files downloaded event"

is there any way i could be notified of a "no files downloaded event"

even if it just 'kept the folder created' (i have altbinz on the "create folder bt by nzb name" setting) and prefixed the folder 'EMPTY'  would be good indicator

blablabla(EMPTY)
or
blabla(FAIL) or something

but with no files it never even creates a folder (by nzb name) and  only find out later on when I jump forward an episode.

Hello,

i too would like to request a feature that creates an [Empty] <filename> folder when the file is taken down.
keeping the file in the download list would also work.

looking through the whole log to find out if something didn't download is not a good solution in my opinion

thanks for reading!
