Title: Re-Request for a Bintube search tab
Post by: jaron on August 10, 2008, 11:50:52 am
First I would like to thank RDL for a excellent piece of software.

I know this request was asked before but no reasoning was given for it, so I decided to make a qualitative compare.
I decided to compare Bintube to Newzleech my favorite Usenet search engine:

1/The main feature that bintube has is its result grouping ability. I choose to search for the value “nick jayden” and those are the results I got

As can be seen Bintube(left img) gave me a single result grouping the 204files to one NZB package based on similar prefix of the subject(red border), as for Newzleech(right img) the results are discrete and the grouping of results is done for similar infix of the subject(red border).
For some this is an advantage for others disadvantage, but a single click on no.2 gives the full list the same as in Newzleech

This ability is vary handy to download from Uploaders who post a large package of various files, im not saying other search engine cant do it but from my experiance Bintube does it best. :)

2/Another useful feature of Bintube is its back catalog of more then 600 days, for most this is of no use but for me its information I can use to track a certain uploader and ask him to re-upload something again if he can.

I hope this is enough to convince you to add Bintube as a search tab.

Regards.
Jaron.
