I am wondering if it is possible to add 7zip support.

7zip support for what? Downloaded files? What is percentage of those files?

It is not that much, if you compare it to Rar files, but sometimes it happens that posting are inthe 7z format, if it is too much work leave it as it is and do some more urgent requests. I then manually unizp those files.
Just keep it in mind.
