Title: Request preserving current page status when a 'next page' search fails
Post by: angusj on May 15, 2009, 03:05:58 pm
When searching subsequent (or previous pages) in BinSearch (and presumably in other searches) and a page load error occurs, the whole search process has to be restarted. This is painful if I'm on page 20 something of a search :). It'd be great if I could keep my current page status and retry downloading the next page.

Also, F2 is the usual shortcut for editing/renaming listview and treeview items in Windows (eg Windows Explorer) but since F2 by default in Alt.Binz changes the tab focus I've been caught out by this so many times. (I'm a slow learner. ;)) Yes, I've just discovered that this can be changed by customizing a language file but it'd be great if F2 was the default shortcut for this behavior.

Anyhow, thanks for a great application.

For the first: if you at least remember what page you were on you could go there directly. I can see your point but it hasn't really bothered me so far.

Yes, I read that post yesterday, modified my (English) language file accordingly, set language to English in setup and restarted alt.binz. Sadly the default F2 behavior (changing tab focus) remains. I'm using the latest version too. Not sure if this is broken or I've done something wrong.

I've just tried a few things and I can't get it to work at all. I know it worked in the past.
