RSS: Size based filtering
« on: July 28, 2008, 01:09:48 am »
If it were easy to implement, it might be cool to be able to filter downloads based on size - so that I can go

sausages.* (|250MB-350MB|c:/vids/sausages|c:/vids/sausages|)

without worrying about getting HDTV and full series NZBs of sausages.

How is Alt.Binz RSS to know what size the download is before adding the NZB to the queue?  Currently the filters are only applied to the subject, and if the subect is the dirname, then do what cr4zyfr4g says.  Doesn't work with Newzbin, though, because of the idiotic naming scheme.

If there was also an option to apply the filters to the description as well, then you could use a feed that contains the filesize in the description (although the filter would probably need to be regex rather than glob). So, perhaps that's what your request should be ...
