For me, the scheduler based on time and percentage of speed has never been worth me setting up, because my traffic shaping etc was/is based on volume, they are also crippling speed based on traffic type, now whilst i am considering a VPN, i am currently using ISP supplied usenet access, that has some restrictions and astaweb pre-paid data volume, i've recently change this, i now have 3 !!
So, is it possible that in the future we could have a scheduler that decides which server to use, based primarily on the time ??
I now have the following servers to chose from
- ISP supplied, can be speed restricted and only a couple of weeks retention
- AstraWeb - PrePaid volume of data, good retention and speeds, but can still be limited due to port throttling by ISP
- HitNews - Nighttime only account (midnight to 4pm CET and midnight to 10am sat+sun CET) - should never be port speed restricted due to ISP mail server using the same port
now, whilst i can't confirm the speed throttling thing in relation to hitnews, because my isp should not be restricting via port throttling in the nighttime slot, i would like to use the hitnews account as my primary during it's active time slot.... i only bought the night time one, because i'm running a 120mb connection, and a full account would have been 108 euros for the year, so i went for the night time one as most of my downloading can be in the morning anyway, which would be covered
any chances ?
of course, being able to choose server when we add a download item would be good too
