Cancel par check in Par tab
« on: March 07, 2008, 12:04:49 am »
Hi, my request is simple. Could an option be added to the right click menu in the par tab, when right clicking a PAR file to cancel par checking? The problem is that when a lot of files are in that PAR, and for some reason you don't want it to check, it still goes through checking all the files before removing the PAR file if you choose to delete it from the par tab.

I am aware that there is a function to prevent unrarring (don't know if it's there for parring to, actually), but this is a request aside of that. In cases where you forget to not let it get checked.

Hope that made sense ???

Edit: additional info: I'm using recheck all par on startup. Yes, exiting the program after having disabled 'recheck all par on startup' fixes my problem, but still isn't as convenient as a Cancel PAr Check would be.

I am currently not at home, so I can be wrong, but i think this option is already there.

Right click on a par2 set to cancel repairing (only possible while it is repairing). If you don't want to start repairing at all, just delete it.

There is no option to cancel raring.

Well, it might be so that during repair the option is there, but it isn't when it's still checking the files (so prior to repair). The annoying thing about this is that choosing to delete the .par, doesn't remove it immediately. It only gets deleted after it has checked all the files, even though you choose to delete it in the middle of the process.
That's why I'd like to see a feature for that.

ah ok, it was not clear for me what you meant exactly.

You are right the checking part is not stoppable with that Option.

Sorry for not being clear enough, it's sometimes hard to formulate correctly :-* . But as said, that's the most annoying thing that can happen if you want to stop it from checking (for whatever reason)
