Set folder for Download Queue
« on: January 24, 2010, 10:08:52 pm »
Since this program doesn’t need installation and is mobile and we can set the download folder, it would be great if we could set the folder where the queue.abz file is stored also.

This makes it truly mobile and we can put all the files on a USB drive and use it on any computer with total mobility.

I'm not sure, but doesn't the program already do that when it is placed outside an UAC controlled folder? As far as I know, my files are in the same folder as the executable itself, which is placed on a different drive/partition.

Strange! no, my exe file is on my D: drive but those files are on C! What can I do?

Well, it is possible it uses those files (mines) because they were already in the same folder. I migrated from XP, keeping the same folder with all AltBinz files.

Wow! that was so easy. I just moved those folders from C to the exe location and it works. :)
But it shouldn't by default make them in C.

It doesn't. It adds them to your user directory, wherever you have that configured to be.

Tip:Alt.Binz looks for the /misc folder in the same dir as the .exe, if it finds it there it won't put /misc in the user directory ... BUT this must be non-UAC location.
