Using version 0.27.0 NZB search.

If your search returns a lot of hits, you can narrow down by using +/- search.  However, if the original search has over 250 hits, you can only narrow your search within these 250.  This may sound like a lot but it depends on what your search criteria are.

Example - searching for Simpsons episodes from series 19

Search - simpsons (returns 250 hits - maximum allowed)
+s19 (14 hits)

Search - simpsons s19 (returns approx 72 hits)

So depending on how you search, the results will vary greatly.  Is there a reason why the hits were limited to 250 ?

I really don't see any problem here. Max 250 results per page is NZBindex.nl limit and has nothing to do with alt.binz. All you have to do is to press button for next page.
