Personal:

I only using a 6Mbit connection but I dont have problems maxing my connection at any time of the day with 4 threads. And we are 3 persons sharing which they allow which is nice. At least it runs a lot better at peak compared to usenetserver and costs about the same.

I 'share' an account between my two connections. No problem here.

they allow sharing in the way that u can use more than one IP but not simultanously as far as i heard

As I said, it works here via cable & adsl at the same time (diff IPs)

i used to share my xennews between 2 different ip's... even at the same time!

but i just recently changed to astraweb, while cheaper, DONT allow sharing at the same time..

It seems they do not allow it anymore. After a minute with two IP connected the second one will be denied. After disconnecting and waiting few minutes, again it will connect and download on both IPs but only for a minute.

I've got an e-mail from XenNews today and now it's official - IP sharing is not allowed
anymore. Maybe it's not the right place to ask, but does anybody know if the UsenetServer
still allows access from different IPs at the same time?

Have you tried different ports with different IPs? That used to work with UNS.

Also, Astraweb block accounts allow sharing (or did last time I tested).

Don't use Xennews to post until they upgrade their software.  Some posts are getting damaged.

I love this newsgroup service. I signed up when they were hitnews.eu for 2 years. I am paying $8/month for 20 SSL connections and max my 16Mbs connection all the time.

i had hitnews.eu for some months too, now i am good with eweka.nl! They are great (price, sharing is allowed, ~170days retention, could load @max --> 3,6MB/s)!

I have a question for cr4zyfr4g.

First, are you familiar with a website called illuminatenboard.org?
